Hardest Hit Fund:
Created in 2010 by the U.S. Treasury, these programs will collectively provide
$7.6 billion in aid to help homeowners in certain states where the financial crisis had the biggest impact. Eligibility for the fund program is determined, approved and administered by each of the participating states.
